Kristin Perry, Owner

Kristin is the owner of Hot Yoga Lake Placid. She began practicing Bikram Yoga in early 2011, in order to escape the frigid Lake Placid winters. The next year she completed the Evolation Yoga Teacher Training in California. Kristin also completed her Barkan Vinyasa Level II/III certification in Costa Rica, and studied under Monique Crous to teach Hot HIIT Pilates.

Sue Murnane, Studio Manager

Sue is a certified Group Fitness & Yoga Instructor and has been teaching a variety of classes for over 25 years. She started practicing yoga in 2011 due to a back injury and fell in love with the practice and has never looked back! She participated in the 1st 200 hour High Peaks Yoga Teacher Training held at Hot Yoga Lake Placid with Julie Bell & Cindy Lunsford in 2015. She has been teaching Vinyasa Flow & Yoga Sculpt since then as well as managing the studio. Sue is married with two sons & enjoys spending time with family, music and traveling. In the Summer you will either find her at the studio or on her boat!

Danielle Mangold

Danielle Mangold, has been practicing yoga for over seven years, and received her two hundred hour, Hot-Vinyasa Instructor Certification with Julie Bell and Cindy Lundsford. Danielle is also a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, and feels strongly that a deliberate and consistent yoga practice can help foster a more peaceful and compassionate view towards self and others; which, greatly improves emotional health and stability. Danielle is also very passionate about the beautiful natural space which surrounds, and enjoys any outdoor activities; especially, when accompanied by her two dogs.

Joan Kelleher

Yoga has been a part of Joan’s life for over 10 years, and her practice has helped her grow stronger, more flexible and fearless, both on and off the mat.  Joan completed her 200 hour Vinyassa Flow training with High Peaks Yoga and is certified through Yoga Alliance. She is committed to continually adding to her credentials. Her classes are powerful and playful with a touch of inspiration and a playlist to match. Singing along is always welcome! Out of the yoga studio, you’ll find her behind her camera, cooking up a feast for her friends and family, in the woods with her dog or taking chill time with a book. Joan is forever grateful for the daily inspiration of the Adirondacks and the wisdom of her teachers past and present.

Layla Stoltz

Layla took her first hot yoga class in 2008 and instantly fell in love. She practiced on and off for several years, always re-finding the yoga studio as a little oasis - the ultimate place for self-care and self-love through all of life‘s changes. After moving to the area in 2011, she discovered the Hot Yoga Lake Placid studio. Eight years later, in May 2019, Layla completed her 250-hour Hot 26 certification with Evolation Yoga.

Marci Wenn

Marci Wenn is a creative Bhakti-infused yoga teacher who has developed her own teaching style with roots in Bhakti and Vinyasa flow movement. She has completed several Yoga Teacher Trainings and is a Clinical Social Worker, a Soulcollage Facilitator and is currently studying Creative Art Therapy and it’s relationship to Yoga Therapy. Marci organically creates and designs dynamic fluid yoga sequences infused with a love of yoga, fun, wisdom and awesome music. She offers group and private instruction and loves designing meaningful and engaging classes for Life Cycle celebrations such as birthdays, bridal showers and other life transitions. Marci displays a passion for the creative spirit and hopes to inspire others to find and nurture their own creative path through yoga, art and movement.

Robin Gucker

Robin Gucker has been practicing Hot Yoga since 1999. She trained with Evolation Yoga to receive her 250 hour Hot Yoga certification 7 years ago and has been teaching ever since. She loves the study of movement and and how it brings nourishment and clarity to the mind, soul, and body. Robin recently became certified as a yoga for Cancer teacher and has taken up study of Aerial Yoga for restoration and to take her yoga teaching to new heights. 

Sarah Reynolds

Sarah took her first yoga class in 2008, and was immediately hooked on the sense of strength, energy, and peace of mind it created.  She has since attended classes and workshops in numerous US and foreign locations, practicing vinyasa, power, “surf,” kundalini, yin, and restorative yoga, as well as the ever-blissful yoga nidra.  Sarah earned her Yoga Alliance teacher certification in Costa Rica, through an ashtanga-based training that combined the philosophy and practice of the primary series with the American vinyasa tradition.  In 2017, Sarah completed an ashtanga teacher training program led by David Swenson, and in 2018 she enjoyed a week of training in the Mysore tradition with David Robson. Sarah is also certified as an instructor of yin yoga, which focuses on stretching and strengthening the joints and ligaments, and serves as a healthy complement to vinyasa and ashtanga's muscle-building poses.
